Dian Hong Jin Si "Golden Strands" spring 2023

A red tea from Yunnan Province, visually and aromatically reminiscent of the famous Fujian Jin Jun Mei, yet offering a completely different flavor profile, closer to classic Dian Hong teas.

Vibrant, sweetly toasted, with hints of dried apples.

Taste

Rich, pastry-like, with dried fruit notes, a pleasant caramel bitterness, and a touch of astringency. The aftertaste is long, velvety, and lingering.

Brewing Instructions

1️⃣ For a full aromatic experience, use a porcelain gaiwan.
2️⃣ For a deeper, more intense flavor, brew in a Yixing clay teapot.
3️⃣ Preheat your teaware and use boiling water.
4️⃣ Gongfu brewing:

• Use 5–6g per 100ml of water.
• Short infusions with gradual increases in steeping time.
  5️⃣ Western-style brewing:
• Use 4g per 250ml of water.
• Steep for a few minutes to taste.
